Solitude on Legon Pari Beach

white sands, beautiful waves and great view of corals, that was how to describe sawarna, sawarna in Indonesians means "Satu Warna" or one color, as it means for the race there for Sunda people to stay together as family.

if you go to Sawarna, you may see lots of gueshouse or warung and hotel to stay, but that's not what me and my cool friend, Biang Jalan purpose of coming here. we plan to camp on the beach under thousands of star as our roof.

so here we go, we started our long way from Jakarta to Sawarna, we started from Jakarta at 10.00pm at night, you must go through highway, bogor city and sukabumi city, to get straight to Sawarna, it will takes 7hrs by car and no rest at all, but we are not robot! ahahah so we need rest, the first 7hrs we spend a long way to pelabuhan ratu, in english it means Queen's Harbour and we reached there at 5.00am, so its a good time to rest while waiting for sunrise on Pelabuhan Ratu beach.

there's a lot of bungalow and you can rent the bungalow and get some simple snacks or food while you rest. the pelabuhan ratu beach itself is where the fishermans live, local people stay and as the sun rising, you may see some of the boats are back to the beach after whole night they fishing some fish or squid. because this area is on the South of Pulau Jawa, that's why the waves are big and the the wind is pretty big, but its just so simple yet so fun to run and catch the waves.

we plan to have bbq at night by the beach, so before we continue our journey to Sawarna, we visited local fish market to buy some fishes, squids, shrimps or even lobster! and in here you may get the freshest sea foods ever with a very nice price! we bought everything! because it was just so cool to watch the activity of the fisherman or the selling and buying from the people on the market!

then after from the fish market, we continue our journey and it will took another 3hrs, the way to get there is uphill and downhill, but the street it self already good and safe, my small tiny car Toyota Agya, is strong enough to climb those high uphill road! and a long the way there's some food stall so you can manage to get lunch first before go to Sawarna.

when you reach Sawarna, there's small area where you can park your car and continue to the beach by walking. again as we plan to camp by the beach, so we will walk a lil further from Sawarna to the ede of Sawarna Beach, the beach name Legon Pari beach, and to get there to Legon Pari, you must walk approx 1hr, it's far, but it was pretty fun to walk right on the shore and enjoy the waves or even cool breeze from the sea. the view was amazing, even lots of people there. but as you get there to Legon Pari, it feels like your own Private beach! no people there, only small warung and you can play with the waves as free as you want!

we build the tent, and prepare for bbq and all as we reach Legon Pari Beach, then of course its time to play on the beach! i love beach so much, i just cant never feel enough to play with the waves or the sands or any! it was so beautiful beach and private and not much people that makes it so perfect! then you can also play with the swing, and the view is the big ocean in front of you. life is great, isnt it?

at night we have bbq under the starry skies and we laughing and have shisha together, its just cool to have great friends like my friends here, listening to the sound of the sea, playing guitar and just enjoy the night together.

it was a short getaway on the weekend, to have short relaxation and also farewell party to my dear brother Kekok, my cool buddy for backpacker will leave jakarta and have new path in Sulawesi Island.

the next day we must prepare back to jakarta, we will get through another way, it shorter way actually, ahahah but the fun thing on the first way is you'll get through beach and walk on the shore, this one is shorter but just lil forest on the view and its really hot tho, ahaha

well thats the end of my short getaway in Sawarna, Banten, its far, but its worthed it, to enjoy your own private beach.
