Somewhere in Ubud
i have this lovely chance to become a volunteer on a literary event in Ubud, Bali. and for sure i wont missed this chance, on 27th oct 2015 i left Jakarta with heart beat fast, im so excited for this great chance, to meet writers, artist and creative people!
this is not my first time of course to visit Bali, this island, i dont know why still attract me with its magic, even some part of memories i had in Bali, is a bad memories, but when i stepped my feet on this island, all i felt is magic, excitement and adventure!
straightly from Denpasar, im goin to Ubud, and the new adventure i have now is on the thing i keep for myself, about how much i love to write and i love literary so much, even not too focus on it. i have a dream when i were kid, i wanted to be a writer! i love to write, poems, love letter, silly quotes, jokes or even a story of random stuff. but it was just a dream, so when i reached Ubud with big heart and the chance to become volunteer n this Ubud Writer's and Reader's Festival, i know, this is a great chance, the great adventure to meet new people!
from 27th oct to 1st nov 2015, the ebent held in Ubud with thousand of excitement from inside and outside Indonesia, ive meet amazing volunteers where we share laugh and jokes and all. i visited almost all of the program this even had, to just know what is literary, what they offer and all.
but dont call me Agnve if i dont take small chance to just have a lil get away to new places :p
so i asked my fellow volunteer and we just go visit some cool random place, first place we go is a hidden canyon, in Sukawati village name Beji Guwang, to get here you must get through river, slippery stones and mud, the trek is short, but because of the river and slippery stones, it takes me around 30 minutes to get there.
but after the hard journey, the view is amazing, its totally correct to call this place a Hidden canyon, because this beautiful canyon is hidden behind the river and all and how hard to get here is make everything's worthed it.
as the sun ray came through those stones and canyo, the secne is just simply beautiful, and no choice you must stepped yourself on the river and let yourself wet a little, the water is a lil dirty with brown color, but hey princess, its a beautiful scene, trust me!
days in Ubud is hectic and calm at the same time, hectic for the event but the situation there is pretty calm, but consider ubud is a lil higher almost near to mountain area, there's no beach around.., and im in bali, but didnt have a chance to see beach after few days makes me feel incomplete! again on my free time i went to beach near Denpasar, name Lembeng beach, its a black sands beach, with beautiful black stones, dunno why its stones and not corals, the waves is big and its really good for surfer to playing here, and because the sands is black, i swear to God, please wear your sandaaaaaaaals when you visit this beach, because the sand is super hot!! it burned my feet for sure, because i left the sandals at the motorcycle XD
its pretty feed me with completeness when i see the beach, aahahaha, then after from Lembeng Beach, i visit another place before duty for the event, so i wnt to visit beautiful waterfall, again this place near with the Sukawati village, to get there is pretty easy, because the villagers already build a stairs to get to the waterfall, so you dont need to get through hard trek!
the waterfall called Tegenungan waterfall, its pretty short waterfall with pretty hard water debit, its sunday, so lots of tourist came to this place.
its closing night party for the event, so when i back to ubud area, i have to prepare for the duty and party! i have met amazing friends here that im hardly to forget, theyre smart with beautiful souls and it was great opportunity to know them personally. we share laugh, fun, craziness and everything on those amazing 5 days, and for sure, for me you guys always remembered.
after the party til late at night, i back home with so much stories to share, great feeling to have this chance to get through, and next day, must back to Jakarta with night flight.
but before that, dont visit bali if you dont have the chance to watch the beautiful sunset in kuta Beach, well, its mainstream and lots of tourist here, but for me this beach, still have its own magical for its orange twilight, it is really a good day to close the dreat days i had in Bali, beautiful sand, perfect sunset and great friends! everything is just perfect the way it is :)
thank you for the great chance of another adventure i have in Bali, and im proudly say i have been steady to visit Bali! and thank you for your magic bali, im for sure will always come back to visit another hidden place on your island!
